Features of Wobble Laser Welding Head

The Wobble Laser Welding Head can achieve high-precision welding in a narrow space by precisely focusing the laser beam, ensuring welding quality.

We use ZBTK SW3000S as our main welding head, and we also maintain good cooperation with well-known brands such as OSPRI, Xhoptoelec, and SUPLASER.

What is a Wobble Laser Welding Head?

    • A Wobble Laser Welding Head is the critical execution unit of a laser welding system, delivering focused, high-energy laser beams to workpieces.
    • Unlike traditional torches, it combines advanced optics and mechanics to handle intense laser energy in harsh industrial environments.

Laser welding head product structure

Key Components
  • QBH Interface: Connects to laser source, enables low-loss laser energy transmission.
  • CCD: Real-time visual imaging module, aids precise weld joint alignment.
  • Protective Lens: Shields internal optical parts from spatter/dust.
  • Collimating Lens: Converts a divergent laser into a parallel beam.
  • Touch Screen Display: Shows real-time parameters & supports quick adjustments.
  • Focusing Lens: Concentrates a parallel beam into a high-energy focal spot.
  • Protective Lens: Front barrier against slag; easily replaceable.

Working Principle
  • The laser source transmits beams through a fiber cable to the welding head.
  • The collimating lens straightens the divergent beam, and the focusing lens narrows it into a high-heat focal spot (up to 10,000°C).
  • Shielding gas flows from the nozzle to protect the molten weld pool from air.
  • The focal spot melts metal surfaces, forming a strong weld as the head/workpiece moves.
  • Z-axis adjustment and protective lens ensure stability and prevent downtime.

How to choose the appropriate power for Wobble Laser Welding Heads?
  • According to the thickness of the welding material, low power should be selected for thin materials and high power for thick materials.
  • Reference material melting point. A higher melting point requires a higher power to ensure fusion.
  • In combination with production efficiency, if high efficiency is required, the power can be appropriately increased.
How to maintain a Wobble Laser Welding Head on a daily basis?
  • Regularly clean the lenses to prevent dust from affecting the laser transmission effect.
  • Check the cooling system to ensure there is sufficient coolant and no blockage in the pipelines.
  • Calibrate the focusing position regularly to ensure stable welding accuracy.
What should I do if the Wobble Laser Welding Head is not firmly welded?
  • Check if the laser power is set too low and increase it appropriately.
  • Confirm whether the welding speed is too fast and reduce the speed to ensure that the materials are fully fused.
  • Check whether the distance between the welding head and the workpiece is appropriate and adjust it to the optimal working distance.
